Collecting and Preserving New Scotland History Since 1971
The Association collects material that directly links to the peoples, cultures and events within the modern day geographical boundaries of the Town of New Scotland. Our collecting policy states that acquisitions should highlight a unique, under-documented or specific facet of the prehistory or history of the town. In keeping with the organization's mission, and in recognition of the Board’s fiduciary responsibilities the Association shall not formally accession items that are beyond the spatial, economic or staffing resources of the Association.
NSHA is continually enhancing collection access through digitization and improvements to storage. Research questions may be sent to the attention of the collections chair at newscotlandhistory@gmail.com or by clicking the button below.
